He began his journey in 2007 by joining the team at James River Church in Springfield, Missouri, serving as the Director of Adult Ministries. In that role he primarily oversaw the church’s discipleship ministries including their extensive small groups ministry.
He left James River in September of 2013 to help plant Summit Park Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He currently serves as the Administrator of Summit Park. The church has grown to nearly 1,600 in average weekend attendance in less than five years.
In the fall of 2017, Jonathan co-founded Leaders.Church, an online resource to equip pastors with the tools to strengthen their personal leadership in the church. The ministry currently serves nearly 700 churches in the U.S. and around the world.
Jonathan holds a Master’s Degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and has been ordained in the Assemblies of God since 2007. He is married to Ashley and has three young children, Emery, Axel, and Fia.
