Ryan Wakefield from Church Marketing UniversityChurch Marketing University was founded by a group of pastors with a vision to see 1000 churches equipped to reach their city in new ways. CMU is led by Ryan Wakefield.

Ryan received his bachelor’s degree in Bible and Marketing from Evangel University. Ryan went on to get his Master’s in Organizational Leadership. He is currently a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God.

Ryan spent years as the Creative Director for James River Church. In 2013 the Wakefield family moved up to Kansas City to help start Summit Park Church. In the years since, Summit Park has grown to over 1,600 people and is launching their second location in Lee’s Summit.
